4.)"My family of 6 stayed there both coming and going through Kota Bharu on our way to Perhentian. Mr. Lee went far, far out of his way to accommodate our needs, at all hours, including finding dinner for us, taking us out in a storm to get some things for the kids, walking us thru the airport ensuring that we found our way, handling any other questions or concerns. This attention is hard to beat, even in service-oriented Asia. We were so impressed"  Shanghaidean ,Shanghai ,October 2005 written by Trip Advisor member. Please check the following link:-

5.) "We stayed at Mr Lees guest house in April 2006 on returning from Perhentian Besar to KL. Mr Lee very helpful. Arranged by Email to transfer us (4) from Kota bharu airport to jetty and he picked us up 3 days later to stop off at guest house overnight. Very clean spacious .A bit out of town centre. but he is happy to drive you round sightsand in the evening for very reasonable fee. He even Emailed photos of us at temples etc. on our return to UK. Recommended paticularly for families or groups."Written by YOUWONTGETSTUCK ,GLOUCESTERSHIRE.TRIP ADVISOR MEMBER DATED 6TH MAY 2006.PLEASE CHECK THE FOLLOWING LINK:-

10.) We're really fascinated by Mr. Lee kindness and hospitality. He's very helpful and he is curious about your future plans just to know how he could be helpful. He arranged not only our transfer to Kuala Besut but also a boat transfer to Perhentians and even a boat transfer from Perhentians to Redang in 5 days. He told us about the weather forecast, about how to arrange our money matters before leaving to islands and much more information.
Rooms are very, very clean and Mr. Lee thinks about all: our breakfast was unexpected but very nice.

25.) Thanks to some friends who recommended the Lee Guesthouse to us,We have had a wonderful time in Kota Bharu. ***** Service and hospitality from the fabulous Mr.Lee. His caring attitude towards myself,my husband and our children,Emma (8) and Will (2)has been much appreciated.Travelling with a toddler can be stressful at times but Mr.Lee was considerate and helpful, even stopping to buy a ball for them to play with on the way to Perhentian Island and entertaining our active 2 years old at the cultural show and night market. ! ( No extra charge for childcare either). In these times where great service is a rarity, we commend Mr.Lee for his dedication to his guests. We hope to come back in the future and will certainly be recommending the Lee Guesthouse to those travelling to Kota Bharu. 51.) We've just got back from the weekend in Pulau Perhentian. Just before going there, we spent a night in Kota Bahru as we wanted to catch the earliest ferry to the islands.I booked Mr. Lee's Guest House based on the recommendations from Trip Advisor website and I must say - they are all TRUE! Mr. Lee is very hospitable and picked us up from the airport when we arrived - he even took us for dinner at the nearby foodstalls before bringing us back.
Overall, the place is VERY CLEAN and he has 5 bedrooms - the biggest being able to acommodate 6 people comfortably (that's our room - with an attached bathroom). TV and cable channels (i.e. astro) is provided in the hall, together with high-speed internet access! Also a big TV around sofas with cable TV and lots of DVDs you can watch. Mr. Lee gave us all the guides and leaflets we could have needed to help us get around and plan ahead and even booked a trip to the Perhentian islands for us. 60.) We stayed one night at Lee Guest House (booked via email: for 65 MYR for the night for a room with shared bathroom. The room was very basic and clean. There was a fan on the ceiling and an air conditioner that both worked well. The home is located a bit out of town in a residential area outside of the city but the owner will drop you off in the center of town. Mr. Lee was very friendly and seemed to really want his guests to have a nice stay. There is a satellite TV on the main floor and a couple of computers with free internet access as well. The breakfast (bread/toast, jam/peanut butter/nutella, cereal, juice, milk, etc) are also included. Our only complaint was there seemed to be some odd scratching noises coming from the ceiling during the night.Written by Trip Advisor guest, adfasdfjkl from Canadian working in Singapore dated 24th June 2008.Please check the following link:-

61.) Mr Lee was very hospitable and accomodating. He met us at Wakaf Bharu station after a long overnight from KL drove us to his place and agreed that he would ferry us into town later on. His place is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Rooms have fan and AC. He drove us back from Kota Bharu that evening after we'd seen the puppet show and then arranged for a taxi to take us to Kuala Besut. The only downside is if you plan to spend the day looking round Kota Bharu - which is pretty bum (disappointing experience at the food market) - as his place is out of town and therefore a taxi ride away, so you can't just crash for an hour or two to kill time. Other than that good value stop off before hitting the islands.Written by Trip Advisor guest ,Jkcninja from London dated 25th June 2008.Please check the following link:-

62.) A refreshing change to the basic standard of many other hostels. Mr Lee runs a very clean modern hostel with all 'Western' facilities and proper hot showers that don't just dribble out! There was four of us and we booked a suite, which had 3 double beds, private bathroom, fan and air conditioning. the guesthouse was very clean. mr lee was so helpful after he took us out for dinner when we arrived and picked us up again. the next day he took us to a number of places e.g took us to see how to make silk and how to make silver etc. we really enjoyd our day. He then helped us with our washing, booked us boat tickets and took us to pick up a meal as there was a storm. Every morning he provided us with breakfast which was whatever we wanted. 90.) We stayed one night at Lee guesthouse. The room was clean and quite comfortable. Lee was very friendly and helped us to arrange a visit to the Tumpat Thai temples. Then, the day after he arranged a taxi to Kuala Besut for us. We paid RM40 for the airport pick up, maybe a little bit more expensive than a taxi but he then gave us a lift to downtown and picked us up again at night. He even gave us a SIM card to call him in order to arrange the pick up at night! I'd recommend this hostel! Written by hostelworld guest :Francisco Javier Ceamanos Garcia dated 17th july 2009

102.) Mr. Lee was one of the most helpful person we ran into on our travels. Place was comfortable and clean. Lots of breakfast and not just toast and jam. I would definately recommend it to other travelers. It is just a bit far away from the city but has many food stalls around. We also ran into troubles with our supposed pre-arranged transportation. Thankfully Mr. Lee worked everything out for us (and I believe gave some people s**t) and we were able to carry on. Thanks Mr. Lee for all the help.Written by hostelbookers guest :Stephen Herzog dated 2nd september 2009.
